Count Adamar is tall, with athletic lines. Loose, almost feathery dark brown curls stretch towards the base of his neck, appearing almost black in cool light. Thin scars dance across his tanned skin, accompanied by rough hands. Another scar graces his brow, running to the middle of his cheek. His eyes, which he proudly proclaims are his best feature, are a striking chartreuse. The rest of him feels almost weathered in comparison, either by time or by life's misfortunes. On the contrary, Adamar's demeanor seems to bear none of the roughness of a soldier, nor the witless prattling of a noblemen, spoiled by lust and greed. He exudes an undeniable zest for life, a reverence for the sumptuous privilege he has been given, with no qualms when asked to share the indulgences his title affords him. He loves to laugh, to dine, and to throw a punch in the name of his irrefutable honor. There is an ease to the way he moves about the world, his mechanical smiles and practiced poise soaking through every interaction, making them seamless. Perhaps, at one time it was easy to see beyond the veil, but now, even the genuine and gravitas seem one in the same.
childhood in daggerfall
If you ask him, Count Adamar Lerineaux will tell you his childhood was spent alongside his brothers, slaying foul creatures of the night and saving the lives of the innocent. To members of House Lerineaux, however, Adamar's youth was a fleeting thing. Those moments that they do recall were of a pale, quiet boy who clung to the skirts of his nursemaid.Even fewer still remember his mother, the departed Countess Oriane. Oft, she is mentioned only in hushed retellings of the former Count Guillaume's fall from grace, attributed to his ill-fated engagement to the Lady Ygraine Nestal. The affair was a heavy blow to the family's reputation after a spiral of whispers grew into a thick gale of supposed plots and infernal intent.
death of his father to current
The years passed slowly until, finally, Guillaume on his deathbed exchanged harsh words with his eldest son. Within the hour, he lay dead, and Adamar claimed his birthright. Now, House Lerineaux prospers. With a young and energetic Count at its head, it has risen in favor and has seemingly shed those most undignified rumors of old. Adamar himself remains good humored, but measured nonetheless. A man painfully aware of the shackles of duty, yet unaware how best to break them.

"Ne'er have I met such a man as this. He claims noble stock yet, he toils alongside us, using a chisel and steady magicks to coax wood in ways I have not seen for a generation. Such wonder he evokes! Little figures that seem to jump to life! Some, that when you touch them, may sing a jolly tune, or better still, transport your senses to a familiar moment or sensation. I am beyond proud to be in his employ."
Aldcroft, circa 2E 590"A gallant man of one and twenty! He is quick with a sword and has sought out many a quest that others have deemed impossible. In the capable hands of this young lord, there seems no call for aid he cannot answer."
Crosswych, circa 2E Date 582 "There he sits, Count Adamar...draped in silk and debauchery. Each man of House Lerineaux has his vices, I suppose. This particular head of house seems hell bent on emptying the family coffers before his twenty-sixth year.”
Daggerfall, circa 2E 586 "I hear he has left a string of lovers, all across the Covenant! Many say he is uncommonly kind, so much so that all they can do is weep at thought that they might ne'er fall into his favor again. Others regret only that his generosity will stand to benefit them no longer."
Wayrest, circa 2E 592

"Mhm, I have heard that name...yes..yes... a young man with dark hair... and darker intentions...but alas, you are not here for the musings of an old man. You are here to buy poison, are you not? Let's be quick about it..."
Craglorn, circa 2E 585 "I have oft seen him on a warm summer's eve, sat amongst the trees with lute in hand. So seldom is his lordship not embroiled in some courtly business...it is good to see him take rest."
Daggerfall, circa 2E 592

"That Count is possessed of a honey'd tongue. There have been moments as of late where I find myself bent upon his every paragraph. By the Divines, I am loathe to admit it, but it is as if I dwell in daydreams. I wish for nothing more than to lean into his words, and when I do? It is as if I have drunk from the waters of a serene pool, I am at peace...and all that he wills is complete."
Daggerfall, circa 2E 589
